About Course

The B.sc (Food Science quality and control, Botany, Chemistry) is a three year degree programme divided into six semesters. The programme involves the concepts as well as processes that are involved in processing, protection, preparation, selection, distribution as well as utilization of healthy food.

Eligibility

Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent from Science Stream are eligible for admission into this programme.

The program is prosperous with faculty members of the Department of Food Science striving effectively and efficiently to enable students for higher learning in Food and chemical Sciences. The topics covered under the course are Packaging Technology, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Dairy Technology, etc. The flexible curriculum allows the students to practice practical and theory both along with researching to gain better insights into the subject. Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Chemical Engineering are among the BSc Food Technology subjects covered in the BSc Food Technology syllabus.

A Food Technology graduate can readily find entry-level positions in marketing or quality assurance firms, production management firms, logistics departments, research and development centers, hotels and restaurants, colleges and universities, and other places. BSc Food Technology course students can work as food technologists, organic chemists, production managers, and other positions in government and private businesses. After graduating from BSc Food Sciences, the students can get job opportunities in Hotels, Packaging Industries, Manufacturing Industries, Rice Mills, Research Labs etc.Candidates can get hired as Food Technologist, Food and Beverage Executive, Analytical Scientist, Dietician and Nutritionist etc. Due to the unnecessary change in food and lifestyle, many companies nowadays are looking for experienced researchers, marketers, and professionals etc. who can easily connect nutritional food products to the users.
